Photographer Tom Ryaboi (a.k.a. Rooftopper) recently unveiled a brand new timelapse video entitled “City Rising” which took a painstaking four months to bring to life.  In a recent interview with My Modern Met, Ryaboi reveals: “Although timelapse sequences are composed of still images, the methods and processes needed to put together the final video are completely different. After battling with motion control gear, camera settings and aperture flicker for several months, it didn’t feel like I was making any progress. I never had such a hard time capturing a vision with photos. But the more I struggled, the more I was intrigued: how do the greats like Ron Fricke do it?”  You can find out how Tom finally pulled it all off by reading the full story at MyModernMet.com, and you can see more from Tom Ryaboi by visiting his site BlurSurfing.com, his 500px page, and his Facebook page.  And in equally exciting news, superstar architect Frank Gehry has been commissioned by Toronto theatre magnate David Mirvish to transform Mirvish’s property at the corner of King and John into a massive development crowned by three giant stunning 80-storey towers.  A seriously gorgeous addition to the Toronto skyline.
