Moonrise Kingdom has been my favorite film of 2012 so far, and as with all-things Wes Anderson I’m keeping a very close watch on his next project.  Entitled The Grand Budapest Hotel, the film is set to begin shooting in January, and in a recent appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival where he was promoting his latest film Hyde Park on Hudson, Bill Murray revealed that he will indeed be part of the project: “I’m about to go shoot a movie with Wes Anderson in Germany,” Murray revealed to Vulture.  Anderson has kept details on the film very close to his chest, but in recent weeks it’s been revealed that both Johnny Depp and Jude Law have signed onto the project.  Two other names that are all but certain to join the cast are Owen Wilson and Angela Lansbury, and rumours are that Edward Norton, Jeff Goldblum, Adrien Brody and Willem Dafoe are strong candidates as well.  The only known plot points to have spilled so far is the story’s setting in Budapest, and a central character of a psychic medium.  It’s not yet clear if the medium will be played by Lansbury, but I will keep you posted with updates in the weeks and months ahead.  You can read more at The Playlist.
