Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def) stars in two brand new ads which are part of LOUIS VUITTON’s Muhammad Ali campaign, and they are seriously impressive. My personal mantra for advertising has always been “less is more”, and this axiom is used to its fullest advantage in these two spots entitled “Word” and “Dream”, each directed by Stuart McIntyre (Steam Films). The ads are set inside a boxing ring as Bey recites a few of the boxing legend’s famous words, all while visual artist Neils Shoe Meulman makes artistic use of the canvas floor.
