Imagine a huge bag of water hanging a few feet above your head.  Then imagine what it would fee like if someone popped that bag.  That’s exactly what happened to Lady Montreal earlier today when a massive thunderstorm dropped ten years’ worth of water on the city in a matter of minutes.  I found myself on the far side of town inside an old movie studio where I was checking in with our carpenters who are building some of our sets, waiting for the rain to end and it simply didn’t.  So I had no choice but to make the mad dash to the car and try not to get hit by the freakish lightning bolts that were striking once every few seconds, and the balls of hail that were falling from the sky like ice cubes.  All’s well that ends well, and I find myself chez moi listening to BLACK MARBLE‘s “A Great Design” and can’t believe how beautifully it goes with the perfectly cool post-rainstorm breeze that’s blowing through my windows right now.  If you love what you hear as much as I do, be sure to pre-order BLACK MARBLE’s upcoming album A Different Arrangement by visiting the band’s label at HardlyArt.com (it’s set for release on October 9, 2012).  For all things BLACK MARBLE be sure to visit them at BLACKMARBLEnyc.com and follow them on Facebook.
