Charlie Rose recently aired a couple of terrific episodes, one of which was a 23-minute interview with Mr. Universe himself, Brian Greene (author of The Elegant Universe), and Michael Tuts of Columbia.  The extraordinary conversation centred on why the Large Hadron Collider’s discovery of the Higgs Boson particle is so important.  If you are even remotely interested in knowing more about the creation of our Universe — as well as what else lies out there waiting to be discovered — this is a must see.  And last Thursday Charlie compiled four separate interviews with the following leaders in their respective fields: legendary sociobiologist Edward O. Wilson, renowned neuropsychiatrist Eric Kandel, theoretical physicist Lisa Randall, and author and neuroscientist Jonah Lehrer.  These fab four combine to bring you an hour that is nothing short of brilliant.  At one point, Charlie asks Lisa Randall: “[How] does all that you know, and all that you have learned, inform your instinct as to what is out there that might blow our mind.”  A question we could easily apply to each of our own lives as well.
