The majority of fans of THE XX would likely agree that the band’s brilliant track “Intro” is the crowning achievement off their debut album XX (the album went on to win the prestigious Mercury Prize).  For her own soon-to-be-released album, Talk That Talk, Rihanna is paying tribute to this groundbreaking new group with a love letter to “Intro” entitled “Drunk On Love”.  The final result is pretty much perfect, with THE XX’s seductive tension mixing beautifully with Rihanna’s powerful voice and confessional lyrics such as ““I wear my heart on my sleeve / Always let love take the lead.”  Take a listen below (I hope this video doesn’t get pulled down, but I’ll keep an eye on it) and be sure to check out Rihanna’s new album Talk That Talk when it’s released on November 21st.  You can learn more about the album by visiting MTV.
