Mikkel Metal (a.k.a. Mikkel Meldgaard) from Copenhagen is know for his own personal blend of dub, electronica and minimal techno.  He began to release his first music by the end of 2000 via HAL9000, and soon became a flagship producer for the Echochord label.  Through the years his discography has been dotted with some terrific electronic gems including  Close SelectionsVictimizerBrone and Wait, and Peaks and Troughs.  Just this morning Mikkel Metal posted this first-class podcast for Field Records and I’ve attached it below for your listening pleasure.  The tracklist, however, is borderline unreadable (what’s wrong with an old-fashioned numbered list with the artists’ names and tracks?), but from what I can see it includes Boards Of Canada and Tortoise.  You can try to make sense of it for yourself in the upper right-hand corner of Field Recording’s website by CLICKING HERE (you can also download your own copy from here as well).  To stay on top of all things Mikkel Metal you can follow him on Facebook, MySpace, Last FM, as well as his website  MikkelMetal.dk.
