I came across this incredible photo gallery on The Cool Hunter a while ago, but I’ve been saving it for the first day of autumn.  I am usually the first to bitch about the days getting colder, but for some reason this year I’m unusually giddy.  I honestly have no idea why, but my hunch is that it might have something to do with the fact that I had such an amazing Halloween last year.  Just like clock work, each and every year around this time we turn our attention towards the spine-chilling and the macabre and nothing gets me more excited.  I’ve always romanticized the mysterious ever since I was a little boy, and as I get older it shows no signs of dying down, so let the games begin folks.  And in the words of Edgar Allen Poe from The Raven (1845), “Deep into the darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.”
