I nearly choked on my lunch today when I was watching the following out-of-this-world timelapse video courtesy of NASA.  Pay close attention as the video begins somewhere over Alaska and heads towards Vancouver and Seattle (on the far left at 0:05), San Francisco (0:11), Los Angeles (0:15), Phoenix (0:18), and Mexico City (0:27). The video continues onwards to the Gulf of Mexico, the Yucatan Peninsula, El Salvador, Lightning in the Pacific Ocean, Guatemala, Panama, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Lake Titicaca, and the Amazon. Also visible is the earths ionosphere (that thin yellow line), a satellite (0:55) and the Milky Way herself.  Simply incredible.
