Once again The Cool Hunter gets the gold medal for the best architectural profile stories. This time it’s for their feature profile of the incredible “L House” located in Buenos Aires, which was designed by architect Mathias Klotz and associate architect Edgar Minond. The home wrapped up construction this past January, but as TCH notes, “it exudes a classic, modernist elegance that will ensure it will look just as timeless 50 years from now.” The overall design is a brilliant assembly of deceptively simple concrete boxes, arranged in a beautiful composition which maximizes views and sunlight. The interplay between the wood, glass, steel, concrete, and travertine limestone is so harmonious it’s almost as if the home was designed by Mother Nature herself. Amazingness. Mathias Klotz (born 1965) is one of Chile’s most renowned architects, and in 2001 he was awarded the Borromini Prize for his design of the Altamira School in Santiago, Chile.
