It’s been said that anyone who is not interested in politics is not interested in the human experience, and Pulitzer Prize-winning author, journalist, and columnist George Will is one of those people whose opinions I hold above almost everyone else with regards to the power of democracy and how it is best used.  Even though he is fiercely Republican and I disagree with some of his political views, his insight into the nature and current state of American society, culture, and the body politic is fascinating to me beyond comparison.  In much the same way as Christopher Hitchens, the eloquence of George Will’s understanding of who we are, why we’re here, and where we’re going — and especially how he expresses these thoughts — is something I try and aspire to myself.  George recently sat down with Charlie Rose to discuss the current state of America’s democracy, economy, and its current position in world affairs, and as far as I’m concerned it should be mandatory viewing for everyone.  For all FEELguide posts related to George Will CLICK HERE.
