If you don’t know about APOD you’re in for hours of fun. It’s actually an acronym for Astronomy Picture Of The Day, and it would be hard to find a comparable sight. Everyday they manage to pick the creme-de-la-creme of cosmic pics for your viewing pleasure, but the best part is the ARCHIVE way down in the lower banner at the bottom of the home page.
