If you don’t know about APOD you’re in for hours of fun.  It’s actually an acronym for Astronomy Picture Of The Day, and it would be hard to find a comparable sight.  Everyday they manage to pick the creme-de-la-creme of cosmic pics for your viewing pleasure, but the best part is the ARCHIVE way down in the lower banner at the bottom of the home page.  I just discovered this gem called “Moon And Venus Over Switzerland”.  For a link to this picture and its description click HERE.  For a link to the main page (and the ARCHIVE at the bottom) click HERE.
