I’m slightly obsessed with the fashion design team Rodarte at the moment.  Rodarte is a brand of clothing and accessories founded by Kate and Laura Mulleavy in 2005 with their initial launch of only 10 pieces.  The designs were so impressive that Anna Wintour of VOGUE called them up almost immediately for a meeting.  Since then they’ve dressed an outstanding range of A-list red carpet stars, as well as First Lady Michelle Obama when she met with Queen Rania of Jordan at The White House in April 2009.

Rodarte recently got a lot of attention for their costume designs in the film Black Swan, and last night Natalie Portman wore a Rodarte gown to the ceremony (congratulations on the win Natalie, you blew your competition away easily).  I also recently made a post for a short film that Rodarte made for a new line.  The film is called The Curve Of Forgotten Things starring Elle Fanning, and if you haven’t seen it you must.  Simply breathtaking.  As I was browsing online looking for some other samples of their work I came across this gorgeous multi-colored wind-swept dress (worn by supermodel Agyness Deyn) that blew me away.  It’s one of those dresses that is so stunning it actually makes me a little bit sad knowing that I’ll never be able to wear it myself.  Sometimes I honestly wish I was born a woman so I could be able to enjoy such amazing fashion as this.
