Today I was flipping through NYLONguys (probably my favorite men’s magazine right now, and trust me: I know my magazines) and came across a profile of up-and-coming musician Benjamin Francis Leftwich.  I just got home and listened to a few of his tracks and find myself immersed in dreams of bonfires, old friends, wool blankets, moonlit lapping waves, crickets, and plenty of “wizard cabbage”.  The production is fantastic and they’ve really popped his voice in a beautiful, almost weezy/wispy manner, and the songwriting ain’t too shabby either.  Looks like this is going to be my ultimate summer album of ballads for 2011.  You can learn more about Benjamin by visiting his myspace page HERE.
