First Larry King, then Oprah (kind of), and now Regis. 2011 is turning out to be the year the TV legends are shaking things up. This morning, Regis Philbin announced he will be leaving his eponymous morning talk show to concentrate on the vacations, tennis, and sipping margharitas with Donald Trump in West Palm Beach. I’ve always loved the first 15 minutes of his talk show in the morning and will truly miss him. He’s an expample of the last little bit of Old Hollywood we still have left. I put him in the same category as Johnny Carson (which I also loved watching when I was a little kid). Thankfully we will still have Kelly to share our 9am coffee with. But in all honesty, it just won’t be the same.
