National Geographic is once again collecting submissions for its annual Photographic Contest.  The deadline is November 30, but NatGeo was good enough to let The Big Picture curate a small selection of images to present on their website.   The first is a supercell thunderstorm rolling across the Montana prairie at sunset (by Sean Harvey).  The second is an underwater view of a breaking wave (by Freddy Cerdeira).  Number three is a baby Praying Mantis on a Barberton Daisy (by Fred Turck).  And the fourth is a lightning strike in New York harbor (by Jay Fine).
