This past summer my friends and I spent a week in Provincetown, the small pocket of heaven at the very end of the Cape Cod horn.  My friend Martin felt inspired to watch the sunrise, so one morning Martin, me, Gavin, and Craig woke up at 5:00am and made it to Long Nook Beach for the 5:48am sunrise.  The dunes of Long Nook Beach are gigantic (10-storeys high) and there is nowhere more stunning to catch this daily celestial event.  I’ve never watched a sunrise at an ocean before and this was something I’ll never forget.  Apart from a pregnant woman going for a walk, a lone fisherman, and 2 backpackers in their sleeping bags dreaming of sandpipers, it was just the four of us.  Pure magic.
