Last week I was walking downtown and noticed the door to the United Church was open, so I went inside for a peek. As soon as I entered I was amazed by a woman’s voice which sounded exactly like Queen Elizabeth. Apart from a few bums on the front step outside gettin’ up to no good, it was just me and her. Perhaps I was feeling more spiritual than usual, but at that moment she sounded like the voice of God, and sitting there in that bench I felt completely dislocated from space, time, and all the noise of life. I think I’m going to go back to church more often :)
