When I went to see Phoenix perform at La Tulipe a long while back on their Wolfgang Amadeus tour, my friends and I ran right to the front and were so drunk we didn’t give a hoot about the 5,000,000 decibels blasting our eardrums to shreds. “What? WHAT?!!” I’m still paying the price for that night, but it was worth every single ear ache that came after. Here was one of the best:
