It’s about that time of the year for all-things paranormal so I thought I’d put together a collection of some spooky footage.  I’m a huge fan of all those reality TV ghosthunting shows out there now, and I must confess that I’ve gone on a few ghosthunting investigations myself.  It’s easy as pie to get a giggle fit when you’re watching this crap, but when you’re actually there it’s a whole other ballgame.  I’ve seen more than one tough guy breakdown and scream like a banshee at their first brush with the other side (pussies).  The first one is from a special called “World’s Scariest Ghosts Caught On Tape”.  It covers the best footage of orbs ever filmed (from the Blackwood Forest of Colorado) and the second half profiles The McPike Mansion, reputed to be the most haunted home in North America:

.

The next is a documentary that aired on Britain’s Channel 4 profiling what is perhaps the most documented case of poltergeist activity in the world.  Between 1977-1980 a poltergeist terrorized a small family in Enfield, England.  Witnesses included police officers and journalists who all remain shaken by what they experienced.  It remains the most famous case of poltergeist activity in the world.  And my underwear remain famously stained from the very first time I watched this.

And finally there is the now infamous Gettysburg Footage of ghosts captured on film unwittingly by a family visiting the Civil War battlefields.  The battlefields of Gettysburg are among the most paranormally active places on earth.  The stunning footage they captured has now become the stuff of legend, and was even included in a History Channel documentary.
