On June 16th 2011, Sade will be heading out on a North American tour – her first in ten years!  The platinum singer begins in Baltimore, Maryland and will hit 50 cities before ending August 30th in Anahiem, CA.  These are the official cities that were announced today:

16 – Baltimore, MD – 1st Mariner Arena
19 – Philadelphia, PA – Wells Fargo Center
21 – Uniondale, NY – Nassau Coliseum
24 – East Rutherford, NJ – Izod Center
28 – Toronto, ON – Air Canada Centre
30 – Montreal, QC – Bell Centre

July 2011
6 – Boston, MA – Toronto Dominion Bank Garden

August 2011
5 – Chicago, IL – United Center
19 – Los Angeles, CA -Staples Center
30 – Anaheim, CA – Honda Center

Dates will be announced soon for shows in Atlanta; Charlotte, NC; Calgary, AB; Cleveland, OH; Dallas; Detroit; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Houston; Kansas City, MO; Las Vegas; Louisville, KY; Memphis, TN; Milwaukee, WI; New Orleans; Oakland, CA; Orlando; Phoenix; Pittsburgh, PA; Portland, OR; Sacramento, CA; San Diego; San Jose, CA; Seattle; St Louis; St Paul, MN; and Vancouver, BC.

The tour is being billed as a global tour, but no dates outside the U.S. and Canada have been announced.  Sade’s last tour was in 2001 which was attended by more than 1 million fans. She will be performing hits as well as songs from her recent album “Soldier of Love.” Besides the United States and Canada, the album also hit #1 in Switzerland, France, Italy, Poland, Greece, Japan, Portugal and Spain.
