I remember hearing about aluminum foam like this a few years ago, but never titanium foam. Aluminum foam has huge potential benefits for car design (i.e. fill voids in the car’s body to absorb impact during collisions), but titanium is too heavy for that I’m assuming. But it’s perfect for bones where the damaged human bone can grow into the foam resulting in a bone that’s stronger than the original. Now if they could just invent razor sharp retractable blades that can into the top of our fists.
