3D Scanning Together With Years Of Painstaking Work Bring Unfinished, Exquisite Masterpieces To Life

Beginning this past October 2013 and wrapping up in June 2014, The Museum of Arts and Design in New York is home to the stunning exhibition entitled Out of Hand: Materializing the Postdigital.   The exhibition features the work of several artists who are pushing the boundaries of art and technology, including the amazingness that is Barry X Ball.  Among the works Ball is currently presenting include his Masterpieces series.  To find out exactly how Ball achieved his superb level of perfection, and how 3D scanning and 3D-printing was used in one phase of the painstaking multi-year process, be sure to visit The Creators Project.
