In every way possible, Montreal is at the forefront of experiential lighting design in architecture and urban environments. For example, the city’s central outdoor performance plaza, Quartier des Spectacles, located in the heart of the downtown core has become a centrepiece for experimental lightmapping artistry in recent years. Now other cities around the world are waking up to the brilliant ways in which light can transform even the most mundane of buildings and urban dead zones into remarkable opportunities for immersive and interactive light art.
