Although we’ve entered the 4K era (i.e. video which is more than 2X regular HD), the cart is very much before the horse — we have some great 4K content available, but almost no 4K screens to watch it on. But for the avid HD connoisseur, even watching a 4K video on a regular HD screen is enough to see the difference. One of the best 4K videos available right now is from filmmakers Jacob and Katie Schwartz who specialize in 4K content. Featuring slow motion (and at times hypnotic) footage of gymnasts, skateboarders, and motorcyclists, the video was filmed using a Phantom Flex 4K which films at 1,000 frames per second. If the footage inspires you to get out there and make your own video with a Phantom Flex 4K, be forewarned — the camera will set you back $100,000. And on a footnote, the ambient soundtrack you’re listening to is Keith Kenniff’s “Backwards from 10” performed by Helios. (Source: Kottke)
