Through the years I’ve shared some of my favorite examples of digital lightmapping artistry, all of which have been projected onto architectural surfaces of art installations.  But today I bring you an example of organic lightmapping — this time from the heart of a typical forest.  Friedrich van Schoor and photographer Tarek Mawad spent six weeks deep in the forest with their computers and their digital projector, coming up with various ways of transforming the woods into a bioluminescent paradise.  The results can be seen in their full glory above, and be sure to watch the behind-the-scenes story below.  For more amazing examples of lightmapping be sure to visit Lightmapping on FEELguide.  (Source: My Modern Met)
