Caribou is one of those artists whose sound is unmistakable, and he’s better than ever on his brand new album Our Love. The Canadian musician (born 1978), otherwise known as Dan Snaith, took a 4-year break since his last full-length LP as Caribou — 2010’s critically acclaimed Swim. In an interview with the team at The Line Of Best Fit, Caribou explained what went into his new album Our Love: “I was thinking a lot about how my life has changed for the better with all the people I’d met because of Swim, about the fact that I’m in my mid-thirties now, with a daughter, and I was trying to just capture all of the love in my life right now. Not just romantically, with my wife, but with my family, my friends, and then my love of music, the love I feel when I talk to people who like my music, and the love that must exist in those crowds, between the people who are there for the same reason but seem to come from different demographics. It’s a lot broader, in that respect, than Swim, I think.” You can read the interview in full by visiting TheLineOfBestFit.com.
