David Lindsay-Abaire won the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for his play Rabbit Hole, which went on to swoon the Oscar elite when the film version was released in 2010.  So when someone of this stature makes a statement to the press, there’s a very good chance that it’s true. David is currently working on the screenplay for MGM’s upcoming remake of POLTERGEIST, and in a recent conversation with Scott Feinberg of The Hollywood Reporter, David let out a huge buzzworthy secret.  Up to now, horror master Sam Raimi (Drag Me To Hell, The Evil Dead) has been attached to the film solely in a producer role, but news went around the horror world almost instantaneously a few days ago when Lindsay-Abaire let it spill that Raimi would actually be taking over the reins as director as well.  And suddenly this movie just got even more potentially amazing.
