One of my favorite George Orwell quotes is: “To see what is in front of one’s nose needs a constant struggle.” And no one understands this more than a photographer. One of the most powerful fundamentals of photography is its ability to make us look deeper into the world around us and take notice of something that has been staring us in the face all along. It can turn something as mundane as a set of racetrack bleachers into a dramatic composition. It can infuse a grey, overcast corner of a boring restaurant into something straight out of a sci-fi film. And it can take a man standing in the middle of a forest and transform it into a theatrical moment oozing with drama. These are all the achievements of photographer David Ryle as you will see below. As proof of his sharp eye and stellar reputation, David’s roster of clients include Nike, Alfa Roméo, Audi, and many more.
