The Incredible Best Picture Compilation Structured Around Colin Firth’s Speech

Last night for the Best Picture category the producers put together an incredible montage of all ten films using the structure of Colin Firth’s speech from The King’s Speech.  I may not have enjoyed The King’s Speech as much as most people, but Colin is a great actor and the theme of the speech itself worked so perfectly with the moral truths of the other films that it almost makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck.  Truly an incredible piece of editing, and whoever is responsible for this deserves a huge pat on the back:

And let’s not forget the equally well done opening sequence where Anne and James were edited into INCEPTION, The Fighter, The Social Network (among others) in order to get into the dreams and the mind of Alec Baldwin for his subconscious tips on how to host the Oscars.  I laughed out loud more than any other Oscar opener.  Loved it!
